He Toi ā-Tāhua - Learning about stencils

With the instruments all painted, our students have been experimenting with tāhua. First off they made tarahī huka (snowflake) stencils by folding up a square of card, and cutting shapes out of it. The unfolded card made some pretty hāraunga (prints):

 Annastasha Aramoana-Pakipaki

 Kaimana Tawhai and Ace Samuels

 Aroha-Tia Taripo

Maataamua Mclean

 Anahera Rihari-Moeau

 Anzack Samuels

 Malenia Kaiwai

 Te Purewa Akuhata

Laurell-Grace Rawiri-Hereora-Komene

Students tāhua from the first week. Thanks to Erica Duthie from Tape Art NZ for the brilliant idea!
